174 3.2x LSDAS. Non-URM.

I took the LSAT last month, so I’ll spend the summer working on apps, and apply early in the cycle for Fall 2011. I’ve always been interested in GULC (DC's beautiful), but I also would love to see what people think of my chances at other T14 schools (minus YHS, Boalt, and Duke). The sample-size for people w/ my LSAT/GPA combo on LSN isn’t super high. I know that GPA knocks me out of competition at a few schools and makes me a wildcard at some others. Would an ED make a huge difference at any of these schools?

Thanks for your help.

The List:

Columbia:
Chicago:
NYU:
Mich:
Penn:
UVA:
NU:
Cornell:
GULC :) :

Also applying to:

GW:
MD:
American:

Published in school lit mag. Leader of lit club. 2 year WE between first year and rest of school (figuring out what I wanted to do) in retail. Was manager for a while before going back school. Love my UG but, prestige-wise, its name doesn’t ring out.[/strike]

Chicago: WL/out
NYU: WL/out
Mich: IN
Penn: WL/In/Out
UVA: WL/IN (Lock if you ED)
NU: IN (If you have WE)
Cornell: WL/In
GULC :) : IN

GW: IN $$
MD: IN $$$
American: IN $$$
ED would make a huge difference at UVA. You would be an auto-admit.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I appreciate it. It's good to get some feedback from a person rather than a calculator. I'm in the process of forming my expectations and this is big help.

I don't understand the reasoning behind the prediction that Cornell would be a waitlist (especially when compared to G-town prediction, since Cornell's GPA median and LSAT median are lower as far as I know)... I suspect that the waitlists at the higher-ranked schools could just as easily turn into acceptances as denials (if waitlist is what occurs, and not straight acceptances and denials). Just my guesses..

I could be wrong, but I think Cornell's GPA is misrepresented in the rankings, it is actually substantially higher. I was just predicting a WL based on how Cornell acted this cycle, people were great numbers got waitlisted.
