Hey guys,
I was very disappointed after seeing my LSAT score yesterday, a mere 151. I don't know what my next step should be.
Should I cancel my score?
Should I retake it?
Should I take my chances?
I am currently a junior at GMU with a GPA of 3.9.
When I was in high school I also got the average score, somewhere in the 1500s and yet i almost have a 4.0 in college.
Should I write an addendum?
I was hoping to get in GM Law School but after seeing their lowest accepted LSAT score as 158 I am not sure anymore =/
Thanks!!

Without URM status or some crazy softs, you won't get into GM or other upper-midrange Tier 1s. Addendums don't work. I would say cancel and retake, given your GPA (which would indicate that you are a fairly intelligent individual), but the fact that you're apparently consistently doing poorly on the LSAT (including practice tests) leads me to believe that such a course of action may be futile. Have you properly studied for the LSAT? Have you taken many practice tests, or just a couple? What is your absolute highest score on a practice test?

You time to cancel has ceased.

No matter; most schools that would consider applicants scoring in the 150s take the highest score without considering lower ones.

How did you get a 3.9 and a 151. Did you go to a college with lots of grade inflation or something?

I am south Asian and a female. I took a 100 hour prep class and was consistently getting 158/159 on the prep tests. Because I had a makeup exam I ended up studying extra. I don't know what went wrong on the day of the Test. I know I had messed up on the LG section but thought I did pretty good on the others.
Maybe it's the test that's my weakness.
I currently attend George Mason University in Va. Their grade scoring system is consistent.

Consistant =/= no grade inflation. Just goes to show why the LSAT is important I guess.

Retake. Definitely retake. And if you fail next time, retake again.
You can get a score in the high 150s. Be patient; it will come. Do not apply anywhere until you have achieved an acceptable score.
By the way, being South Asian probably won't do anything for you.
