Notice of significant completion

I need 132 credits to graduate from my undergrad. This semester I will complete 128 and then take the remaining four over the summer. This means I won't have graduated until September 1st. My school provides a notice of significant completion (or something like that...) for students applying to graduate programs. I know many law schools require an applicant to hold a degree before the first day of law school, but how does something like this figure in? Do schools accept this instead of an actual diploma or does each school have a different policy? Anyone with insight into this matter, especially from personal experience, would be a big help. Thanks!
