Tiers and Transfers

I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that the best I can hope for is a school like OU or Syracuse. At worst, I can get into University of Tulsa or Texas Wesleyan, or even worse than that, not get in anywhere. 
Because I like to obsess and come up with hypothetical scenarios, let's say I get into and attend TU. Could I transfer to a school like American, provided I did well in my first year? Yeah, I know you shouldn't go to a school while intending to transfer, and no, I still haven't taken the LSAT. I won't until September/October. Is it possible? At least OU is T3...the rest are solidly T4.
