I have a medical disability which has greatly hindered my LSAT score and have provided admissions with medical documentation / addendums stating my hardship - I applied to LSAC for accomodations, but was denied. Without accomodations, I would probably test the same, and accomodations are near impossible to get.

What is your honest assessment of my chances at UCLA, Boalt, and USC?
That is an awful.....................ly good GPA. I assume your major is biology related?

What is your condition if you don't mind disclosing?

I would say you have a good shot at Berkeley if your condition is really unique.

Thanks for replying. Without going into too much detail, I have a breathing impairment which causes work stopage. I was authorized by the LSAC to take medication during the exam, but as the ill-effects are disorientating, I lost much exam time. I could not complete all questions in the sections, so I ended up randomly bubbling-in just to record responses. For whatever reason, I was not granted extra exam time by the LSAC, and my file contains medical documentation that I require extra time when taking medication - so, therein is the problem.

You sound like one of those people who get in to alot of places despite numbers. Apply to all the good schools you would attend, you should do fine. I can't say specifically (I don't think anyone can) as for Berk or UCLA, but its definately possible.

Just wanted to chime in to say LSAC is balls. I know that for every legit person, there are twenty with fake notes. But it is a shame they don't recognize actual medical need for more time. I'd write the addendum and see. Did you take a class, or have a tutor. It probably wouldn't mean a lot, but it might help to have someone who is very familiar with the test write a letter to say "This student really does grasp the material, blah blah." Couldn't hurt...

Congratulations on Berkeley. Do you even care about the other two now?

Thank you...not really. Although UCLA would be nice! I have no interest in USC.

Go to Berkeley!!! UCLA WL is a black hole of sadness, and Cal is the better law school (Not undergrad... Go Bruins!!). Congratulations, it sounds like you are having a great cycle.

Thanks all - I live in LA and plan to work in LA. I know that Berkeley is ranked higher, but I think that UCLA in the LA market is as strong, or even stonger. Elite firms in LA like Irell, Munger, etc...not the Lathams of the world...take mostly Harvard and UCLA, not Berkeley, so I would love the option of UCLA.
