Formulas for each school?

Also - anyone have access to the auto admit status for those schools?

I am looking for UGA UF UAL, etc....

Any help would be appreciated.

Not all. Some schools a) don't use one or b) don't let LSAC know.

lawschoolpredictor.com will calculate your index for you and give you your percentage chance of getting in based on that index.

lsp uses this yes but is not correct about decisions very often. lots of people got into uga without hitting that index

That's why it's a predictor and not a decider.

Replies like this brighten my day.

I mean I'm in the middle of reading my extraordinarily long Appellate Brief packet...

...thus I needed something to make me feel better.

And that did the trick.

Thanks Kiersten.

my point is if it does not predict very accurately it isn't worth much as a "predictor". You think I am stupid enough to think that shitty website is gonna tell UGA whether or not to let me in?

If these accepted people with your numbers represent only 5% of applicants to the school with similar numbers (and the rest were rejected), then i would say that "Deny" is accurate. Just because you know a few people that got in with similar numbers, doesn't prove that LSP.com is flawed. you have no information about the total number of applicants with similar numbers.

but do you think an index will either? The predictor just takes the index numbers and their current admission numbers and makes a educated guess. Knowing what index number is an "auto-admit" won't tell you anything for sure either. You could be an auto-admit with terrible softs or a felony, or somehow you don't fit what they want, and you would be out. Or you could be a applying to a school like Bama who wants a certain LSAT median and despite indices they are accepting high LSATs with much less regard to GPA. You asked a good quesiton regarding the index #, but you also had good responses, LSP is a very good indicator regarding how the index # indicates admission. I would add one caveat, in a year like this when everyone's applicant numbers are sky-high, the index may become only a first indicator and softs may become much more important.

ITT: Person asks question and then whines when it gets answered.

LSP was TCR if for no other reason than it provides a compiled list of schools' indices, which was what was asked for.

If the OP wanted to have the best gauge of his chances at a particular school, he should have gone to LSN (in response to his second question).

if only we could make that the thread title.

UF let someone in with your numbers, according to LSN. Alabama doesn't have any similar people on LSN.

However, because Alabama and UF from LSN don't look like they've actually dinged anyone yet, LSP is probably your best bet to get your chances. Sorry dude.

are y'all trying to mock me? if so, I will laugh b/c you probably had a WONDERFUL UGGPA and solid LSAT, but never experienced anything. I'm fine going to UGA b/c I love the state and its a good school for the area. Sorry I did not want Stanford or to live on the West Coast............

Unfortunately, much of law school admissions is about having a "WONDERFUL UGGPA" and "solid LSAT," and not a lot about having "experienced anything." I'll probably see you next year at UGA, unfortunately.

I think this thread is turning into another one of those DNFTT moments.

You are being mocked for reasons unrelated to your UGGPA and LSAT score. HTH.

also unrelated to the school to which you are planning to attend. Nobody is being negative about UGA, only that there is a new reason not to go there now.

I apologize for offending every one of you. I know I was being childish and immature with my last couple posts. I really didn't want to whine or prove anyone wrong--was just anxious about this whole process and have been for 6 months. Again Sorry.

Also -whats a DNFTT moment.
