+1 Sorry, buddy, either retake or face some rejections (from these schools at least).texaspecial88 wrote:undoubtedly out at all of them unless you are a URM.
I was scared of that. I was scheduled to take the Feb. test and then leave the country for 3 months the next day and it was cancelled!!! Just my friggin' luck.Kiersten1985 wrote:+1 Sorry, buddy, either retake or face some rejections (from these schools at least).texaspecial88 wrote:undoubtedly out at all of them unless you are a URM.

Nope, I'm Indian, but I doubt that counts for much. I'm from an "economically disadvantaged" family, if that means anything.chadwick218 wrote:R u in the military?tx1987 wrote:I was scared of that. Is there even a point in applying?scribelaw wrote:You'll need a 170+ for Georgetown and NYU.
Military would not help.chadwick218 wrote:R u in the military?tx1987 wrote:I was scared of that. Not really. Georgetown if you feel REALLY lucky, but not NYU.tx1987 wrote:Is there even a point in applying?scribelaw wrote:You'll need a 170+ for Georgetown and NYU.
I honestly believe that if the OP were a resident of Texas, had served in the military for 4 years, and completed college thereafter (or vice-versa), he would stand a reasonable chance to be admitted at UT. However, seeing that his screen name is tx1987, I am led to believe that he is graduating college in 2010.Zojirushi wrote:Military would not help.
Don't waste your money, IMHO.tx1987 wrote:Is there even a point in applying?scribelaw wrote:You'll need a 170+ for Georgetown and NYU.
I'll let you know if this scenario holds true with 8 years vs 4 and strong military experience vs just doing time.chadwick218 wrote:I honestly believe that if the OP were a resident of Texas, had served in the military for 4 years, and completed college thereafter (or vice-versa), he would stand a reasonable chance to be admitted at UT. I believe they only average if the difference is fewer than 6 points.cubswin wrote:NYU averages LSATs too (or so they claim), so even if you have a stellar re-take, don't get your hopes up. A 170 will put you in good contention for Georgetown, and high 160s make it possible but not probable.
