164/4.0 ED at UVA next cycle?

Reverse splitter here- graduating in May, thinking about retaking in June- waiting out this cycle then ED'ing to UVA in September. What do you think my odds would be? Should I consider not retaking and going at this with my current numbers (would there be any drawback if I'm fairly certain I can get my LSAT to a 169-170)?

Thanks!

With the extended ED deadline, give it a shot now, if you don't gain admittance, retake the LSAT and apply next year!

You're not really a splitter.

Um... what? One # is way above 75th, the other is below 25th. He is a reverse splitter.

This is exactly what I've been wrestling with though-- I would hate to get accepted with absolutely no money (something I would jump at, however) and miss the opportunity to wait it out and up my chances at a scholarship next cycle. But then supposing I wait and don't do as well as I'd like- and next cycle's competitiveness blows me out of the water. Ahh... what the heck- ED it is!

With a 164 you're not likely to get into a better school, let alone with significant money. You'd have to retake the LSAT to have a shot of that at a T14. You have decent odds of getting in somewhere with ED, this cycle or next, so unless you're planning to retake the LSAT, you may as well ED now and see what happens.

OTOH a retake that gets you up to 170+ could get you huge $$$ ... in the next cycle.
