seems like you'd have a good chance at HYS, particularly Hsinfiery wrote:oct2011: 167--> oct 2012: 176

170 LSAT
3.67 GPA
I'm looking at UVA, Penn, Duke, Michigan and possibly NYU ED. I'm also from Virginia and considering applying to UVA ED. Thoughts?

Also, I'm from VA so is it worth it to ED to UVA now and lock it down?

Re: What are my odds?
Anyone care to chance me, please?
LSAT: 168 (Oct) and 160 (June)
GPA: 3.06
non-URM
average softs (interned at public defender's office Baltimore, community service) and LOR
I know my low GPA puts me out of the running for T14, but I had a few questions: what T30 schools would be wise to apply to with these numbers? I'd like to be near the East Coast and in an urban setting, probably, so I think I'll be applying to
Fordham
BC
BU
Emory
GW
are any of these not worth applying to, you think? (Keep in mind that I'm also applying to many lower-ranked schools in hopes of a scholarship-- not banking on getting a great deal to a T30)
Thanks so much for you help!

3.5, 170. Considering I want to maximize my chances at NYC biglaw Penn ED is my best bet right?

Re: What are my odds?
LSDAS: 3.88
LSAT: 169
Softs: fairly strong. Honors program, lots of clubs and internships and research experience (in Bible, Political Economy, and Islamic Law, so lots of variety there), and academic awards. Very challenging courses (including graduate ones) I'm gonna have strong LOR (one from the dean of a graduate school), and a strong PS (imho). Will have 1 year of w/e
Con: in my last semester my GPA dropped from a 3.91 to a 3.87
non-URM
I'm stuck in the NY/NJ area, and my main purpose is to graduate with as little debt as possible. (Less than $100k) Columbia and NYU are my reach schools, but I don't think I'd even go to them.
I'm gonna be applying to pretty much every school in the area, but what are my scholarship odds from Cardozo and Fordham? Preferably scholarships that aren't tied to academic performance?

Re: What are my odds?
If your gpa were lower, I would say yeah, but I would be reluctant to ED with a 170/3.5. Or maybe ED NYU. Then if there are a boatload of people who took the October test, you could always ED Penn Round 2 in Jan. Would that work?Tuco Salamanca wrote:3.5, 170. He's not likely to get much, if any money in the T14. but I agree with using Penn Round 2 as a fallbackjustonemoregame wrote:If your gpa were lower, I would say yeah, but I would be reluctant to ED with a 170/3.5. Re: What are my odds?
166/3.71, average softs, legal work experience, good PS (according to others, at least)
Any shot at Vandy, Cornell, UT, ND, or ED to Mich? I seem to be borderline for some of those, straddling the medians.

Wow, hell of a job on that October LSAT I think one of CCN may bite RD, and you'd be a lock at NYU if you ED'd.imanexcellentdriver wrote:LSDAS GPA: 3.3 (3.4) decent public university.

Or I could always take your advice on the other thread and go to Wisconsin.
