Top Law Schools

Hey all,

Completed my FT Fordham app, came in with a 170 and a 2.9 LSDAS(3.0 UG) with a decent upward trend and a good addendum. Good softs but nothing breathtaking. Wondering how I stand? I'm assuming I'll be WL'd but what are my chances of getting off it? Should I write them a note and just go for PT? How have they treated splitters historically? LawSchoolPredictor has me at consider for FT and admit for PT.

This guy was waitlisted with a 3.4/169, so I'd say a WL is likely.

Yeah but my grades suck b/c of a few semesters traveling trying to be a pro skier. It's not even a good excuse!

Do they just YP/WL all splitters or high LSATs?

Three people show as being accepted. One of them was a WL->acceptance. Two of them were electrical engineering majors and the other was a double major in math and physics from a top 30 private.

Prepare for a waitlist and then doing all you can do to get accepted off the W/L.

Also, throw an app at Northwestern, Georgetown, and WUSTL if you haven't yet.

Fordham doesn't seem to YP that much (http://fordham.lawschoolnumbers.com/sta ... Cycle=0910 ). They just seem to be not as splitter friendly as other schools. Maybe they'll be more splitter friendly to help maintain/increase their LSAT numbers when taking part-time numbers into account. Not sure that's all too likely though.

They waitlisted me early and my numbers are both better than yours.

True, a bunch of the people that were rejected on that list ended up at GULC, NW and the like. I didn't apply to NW because I didn't think I'd get in(heard they like lots of WE, which I only have a year). Much too late to try?

A 170 is a terrible thing to waste on Fordham.
