Chances for a biology major from Duke: 3.4/166

Post by bludvl_prelaw » Wed Jan 06, 2010 5:40 pm

Like it says, I graduated from Duke (top-10 undergrad) with a biology degree. 3.4/166.
If it matters, my GPA in my non-science classes was a 3.67. (I also did a chem minor.)
I'm not sure how much majoring in a hard science at a very difficult undergrad program counts as a soft factor...
I'm male and NOT a URM.

In any case, I'm wondering about my chances of admission and money at these schools:

Duke
Boston College
Boston U
U. Southern California
Minnesota (they sent me a fee waiver)
Fordham
George Washington
Wake Forest
Cardozo (applying to part-time May entry program)
Brooklyn
Villanova
Temple (also got a fee waiver)
Seton Hall

Thanks, everyone!

I think you can get into any of those... you just need step on it and get your apps rolling in.

My applications are already in to all those schools. Sent them in earlier this week.

Absolutely not. Duke for certain is going to be out of the question and USC is a huge reach, very very likely looking at a rejection.
