Scholarship questions

Does anyone know for state schools that offer basically tuition equalization scholarships, are these generally renewable even if attaining residency for 2 and 3L? Or is it one or the other typically?

From what I hear, you lose them after you gain residency.
About a month ago, a poster said that this is what UCLA does.
I honestly have no firsthand knowledge, but it would make sense that you would lose it.
