Top Law Schools

So here is my proposal regarding pictures of the law schools. A lot of people have been really helpful in getting pictures of law schools. (which I plan on joining when it's not spring break at the schools near me ) They are, however, spread out all over the place. I'm willing to open a photobucket pro account that could have an album for each school if people would be willing to share their photos. We could archive them for posterity!

So, if I put the 25 bucks for the year down, would people contribute? I'd be willing to copy them off here (with your permission) or email them to toplawschools@yahoo.com.

(I thought about putting this in other forums, but I thought most people had pictures from ASWs, so I put it here.)

Not that I speak for Ken, but if you'd be willing to manage this for more than a few months, then maybe he would be willing to kick back the $25 to you on behalf of all of TLS. It sounds like a capital idea to me anyway.

Especially considering the money it will cost most people to visit all their top-choice schools, I think this would be a great idea, especially if people just went to the ones really close and there was equal distribution among the states.

I'd be willing to do it for this year, no problem, and then maybe he could take over? I'd even be willing to do it for awhile. I still don't know as much about all these schools as many people here, so this could be how I help! (And really, 25 bucks isn't what I'd call a ton of money, but it's a waste if I'm the only one putting pictures on it)

My thoughts exactly. I'm working trying to get money to pay for law school, I can't visit them all! I've noticed a number of people sharing their photos here in various threads, I'm just proposing putting them all in one spot.

What is the point of this? Are people really that lazy to look up the pictures on the school's websites? And it's not like the schools are really that disingenuous in the photos they choose to display.

Some schools are noticeably stingy with the photos. Some may also be many years old, or leave out a particularly hideous room/nearby attraction.

For example, all the pictures I've seen of the school near me make it look like the law school is all on its own. But it's five parkings spots and a driveway from a museum on campus, and has views of what we'll call not the most well maintained part of the University district.

Also, couldn't the same be said for almost everything we discuss here? Employment statistics, odds of admissions, it's all online. We come here to share.

That's a great idea. With all the ASDs going on it shouldn't be hard to get a pretty wide array of schools.

I find most school websites have few to zero really useful pictures that give you a visual feel of the campus from the perspective of someone thinking about spending three years there. But at least you can always tell the ones with the ugly facilities, because all the photos are of random hotties who they would like you to think attend the school. Rosstafarian's photo survey of the WUSTL campus was fantastic, and we always seem to have at least one photo bug who visits each school. It would be nice to have a large and ready collection of recent photos taken by prospective and current law students. Flickr is not bad, but people into photography only tend to spend film on pretty places, so the schools that you would really like an honest view of don't often show up on there.

Unsurprisingly, I couldn't find a single photo of the actual Boalt building on their website...

There's only one photo there, and it's one I got off a website, just to kind of work it out. The plan is for every school to have it's own album. I can't add any pictures at the moment, because the school near me is on spring break, so I can't get in. I'd rather not take two trips. But I'll start PMing people with pictures here to see if I can put them there too. But if any of you have some, PM me. We'll figure out how to get them onto the Photobucket.
