Post by feralflamingo » Wed Jan 17, 2018 9:46 am

This thread is so overdue!!! We need to geek out over who's going and have a bespoke suit pageant or something (jk)

Preview I: Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning, March 15-17
Preview II Express: midday Friday through Saturday afternoon, March 23-24 (where yours truly and all the other cool kids are)

I'm sure it will, from what I've heard and experienced they've always been super generous with scholly money.

I ditched my SO so I could get a roommate (she pushed for it, I think she knows I need more friends  )

Aww haha I'm friendly but I tend toward introversion naturally, so I don't think a roommate will be bad for me! And my boyfriend didn't really want to just tag along to all my ASWs and basically be twiddling his thumbs most of the time since we're 99% gonna do long distance anyway so where I go won't affect him too much.

Haha yes, that is the prevailing (and true) logic. And this way we can focus on important things like "is Stephanie really mikeross91 from TLS?"

All aboard the cool kids weekend! Switched from the first weekend after realizing UVA's open house was then. Bummed I'll miss the auction though!

It's for the Student Funded Fellowships for Public Interest internships. Huge auction with all sorts of silly and fun prizes, it is supposed to be a real hoot!

That's my reason for it, and I imagine more than a few others. They haven't put up the registration info for it yet, but honestly I'm not sure if you need to register. I was trying to look at it last night and there is on-site registration and no accommodations like Michigan. Or it could just be too early still.

That’s my reasoning as well...also getting curious about UVA’s schedule

Sounds like a plan! It'd be great to catch up at the end of the Mich one especially and bounce our thoughts around.

@Direwoolf I don't think they have shared it yet for this year, but one of my coworkers went to one in like 2011 and it is almost the same as this one from 2017 so I'm guessing they don't change it up too much. Looks like there will be a link to RSVP eventually though!
