Relevancy of this Forum

Considering how competitive the legal market and the null effect admissions day have on deciding which law school is more cost-effective, how does this forum serve the TLS community? Sure, if you get a big scholarship to NYU or Columbia, then perhaps visiting these schools is informative, as at that point, you may want to consider softer variables like campus culture.
But what relevance do the finer points of sitting in on a class have on employment in the legal profession? None.

All things being equal, why not go somewhere you'd rather spend 3 years? If that's Duke vs. UVA or Chicago vs. Columbia or w/e. Obviously this forum doesn't have that much traffic or new topics.

I think the lack of forum traffic indicates that the approach to law school is changing away from "law school = fun college experience" approach to "law school = get a job, dude" approach. At least for TLS browsers and users.

I think once you've narrowed everything else down to a few comparable schools, it makes sense to visit and see which school/region you prefer. Of course, most ASW/ASDs are in the spring, so there won't be much traffic here till then (to the extent there is much).

Initially I agreed with the points made here."whats the point of this thread?"
Then I saw this a few entries down.
