What to look for during ASW?

Going to UVA tomorrow for the ASW, my first for any school.
I of course want to get a feel for the ambiance and get a feel of how I would fit in or how happy I would be there, but is there anything in particular any of you would recommend to look out for?
Also, each school has a set schedule it seems. But the days end relatively early it seems. Is that basically the end of the night for anyone without local contacts? Is there any common method for finding something to do with either campus clubs or individual students in order to get an even better feel for the school?
