Would wear suit if just interview, would do Eskimo outfit if just touring outside. Also, cold aside, don't want to ruin suit with slush and all.

Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Do you own an overcoat?

If you're just doing the regular campus tour that happens every day at noon, it doesn't go outside. "Campus" is three buildings, all attached.

You should wear a suit to your interview regardless. I give those tours, and while there are casually-dressed people just touring, NOT interviewing, all the people interviewing are in suits.

The sidewalks are plowed and salted to within an inch of their lives.

And don't worry about what you're wearing for the class...chances are we'll be dressed in everything from suits to pajamas. (Literally.) On any given day, someone's got moot court or a job interview, and someone is sick and just rolled out of bed. And odds are the students won't even notice you in the back of the room.

Suit + overcoat if you are so inclined.

I also do the tours @ NU. Make sure you wear a suit for the interview. The tour is entirely indoors.

As to sitting in a class, it really doesn't matter what you wear. Being in a suit is fine, and students that don't sit in your proximity will likely not notice you at all. Good luck!

any top coat will work to contain warmth (since it blocks the wind while adding a layer).

Or if you are a listless poor like myself and don't own an overcoat, just take a cab.

Then slight change of subject:
Any suggestions where to store luggage? I am flying in, visiting, and then taking a bus elsewhere. Any nifty ideas?
Thanks for everyone's help!

You can put it right by the coat rack in the admissions office. People do all the time.
