Houston Law School Forum -- Should I Go?

I live about 7 hours (driving) from Houston, TX. It's a long drive and a lot of wasted gas if it's not going to be very useful for me, so I would like to figure out if it would be worth it to go or not.

What all should I take into consideration before making my decision? Also, has anyone been to one that they found particularly useful for some reason? I have read on the forums that going solely for the purpose of increasing chances of admissions would be a waste of time. Anyone have different opinions?

If you can get another rider or two, then it may be worthwhile. Otherwise just e-mail law schools for fee waivers & to obtain info.

Yeah--that's what I was thinking as well. I figured I could get comparable information through e-Mails and phone calls.

Thanks guys.

It'll be a waste of time. You have more information available to you on TLS than you do at a law school forum. Also, the recruiters probably won't remember you.

Recruiters do remember many attendees, but not all. Depends upon how much time is spent & on the parties' interest level.

I would say absolutely not. You can call/email to get all the information you would at the forum. I would say to save that money for your Admitted Student Weekends, etc. Also, you may want to check into surrounding universities because many host their own law school fairs. For instance, we have one at Texas A&M each year. So does UT Austin. I am sure a major university near you does as well.

7 hours? Gawd no.
