Top Law Schools

I am not sure what to wear (as a male) for my meeting with the assistant dean. I will also meet with the career service office and groups of students.

A similar question was asked about what to wear for ASW earlier this year. Someone (wish I could give credit, but can't recall) said to dress like you were meeting your girlfriend's parents for the first time at a Cheesecake Factory.

I would agree not to wear a suit, but even that I think is unlikely to hurt anything, other than perhaps get a rise out of other students (or TLSers if you do it and mention it on here). But I prob also wouldn't go super, super casual (like a beer t-shirt etc. lol). Other than that I don't think it matters in the least.

You've already been accepted so you can wear anything you want. Polo and khakis are fine, but you could even go more casual. You aren't trying to impress anyone at the school anymore.

Vintage Led Zeplin T-Shirt and acid washed jeans are credited.

Not that this is an out-an-out absurd question, but does the OP really think there's an appreciable difference among the options listed.

there is a difference, yes, but the effects of which I choose to wear is negligible (with the exception of a suit perhaps)

the point of the post is primarily that polls are fun!

Don't wear a suit. Anything else is fine.

This. Since it's the dean + CSO, maybe dress slightly nice, but really, it doesn't matter a whole lot.

I'd say look nice but don't rock a tie. A tie is overkill.

Seriously OP, as long as it isn't a suit it won't matter. I went with a polo and jeans/khakis whenever I went to ASWs, and obviously it doesn't make a difference.

Def not a suit. Khakis could be ok but no real need to dress up beyond that.

Its not going to matter to the dean, and its not like the CSO has a notepad where they write down first impressions of students. Just dress comfortable and start being yourself. You're going to get there and see a bunch of extremely dressed down summer school law students. Just don't look like a total slob. Or look like a total slob. No one will care either way.

Slacks and a polo. That way you look sorta dressy, but nobody can claim you are really dressing up.

Tails, a top hat, a cane, and a monocle.
