Lack of Chicago "open houses"

Post by ahduth » Mon Mar 28, 2011 6:12 pm

A lot of schools have these out of town open house / reception things where they talk you up, booze you up, whatever. Here is the list for Georgetown:

San Francisco: Sunday, April 3rd
Los Angeles: Sunday, April 3rd
Boston: Monday, April 11th
Washington, DC: Tuesday, April 12th
Miami: TBD

Other lists are similar (this one oddly excludes New York). I haven't once seen one for Chicago. Do these schools hate flyover country, or what? We love free booze out here too, you know. Maybe I just applied to the wrong schools.

I felt that way about Berkeley, a little bit. Receptions on both coasts, but nothing in the midwest at all? Chicago's a 9 hour drive away but I might have done it. Ah well, ASW was a blast!
