Is anyone going to these? I got a travel stipend for the April 8 one and want to go, but I can't seem to find a flight less than $500 to save my life. Any tips?

I just got in today. I am already going to UNC on April 8th, so I might try to clear my schedule to go up there March 25th. I am not trying to drive from NY to Indiana though. I think I am going to Amtrak it. I am from NYC btw.

I have the same delima, but will be there April 8. I would recommend flying into Chicago Midway (MDW) and saving $100-$200. You will then need to catch a shuttle/bus to campus which is $60 for a round trip and about 1.5 hours. If you fly Thursday and Saturday, you might save a little extra cash as these days are generally cheaper days to fly. I hear the cheapest time to purchase a flight is Tuesdays at 3pm (EST). You may be able to find deals randomly, but just make sure you purchase the ticket at least two weeks out. Anything closer than that is going to be $$$$.

Hope this helps.

I'll be there the 8th. Does anyone know which hotel would be best to stay at?

I'm staying at the Inn at St Mary's. It is right near campus, has a hot breakfast buffet, and the law school has a special rate.

just booked the Comfort suites in Mishawaka, it's a pretty decent discounted rate at $62 a night with free breakfast every morning. I can mess with that. I look forward to meeting everyone this weekend, should be a good time.

Where are you flying from? I cleared my schedule so that I could arrive on Thursday, but I could not find a flight out of SB till 7 AM on Saturday. It was around 300 dollars for the round trip. I second the advice about flying into Chicago and taking the shuttle or the South Shore line out of Millenium Station.
