I'll be there. It's a good idea to let Ann Arbor thaw an extra few weeks before visiting.NZA wrote:Any TLSers attending?

I know. What we lack in numbers we make up for in awesomeness and aversion to cold.er doctor wrote:Well, we are coolerAreJay711 wrote:Oh, I see we have finally one uped ASW1 by creating our own thread

I will be there.
I've never been to Ann Arbor and am looking forward to it. Hopefully it's not too cold -- I'm from Southern California.

You'll be fine. I mean, it'll be in the fifties at least.Older Chest wrote:I will be there.

Speaking of which, how are you all planning to get from the airport to the campus? I'm looking for that sweet spot between cheap and not dragging suitcase several miles through inclement weather. Ridesharing, anyone?

I'd be down. I couldn't get any flights into DTW early enough on the 31st, so I'll actually be flying in the 30th and staying the night at a hotel.twelda wrote:Speaking of which, how are you all planning to get from the airport to the campus? I think that there's a bus line or something (like, some sort of shuttle?) from DTW to Michigan, but I'm not 100% sure. In any case, maybe a few of us could figure out a way to meet up and split a cab?

Seriously thinking about it. There's an event I really want to attend over that weekend, but I guess figuring out where I'm going to spend my next three years may be more important.

I'm down to split a cab. I will be arriving the night before and staying near the airport.RIPmitchhedberg wrote:My flight lands at 10:20 am if anyone wants to share a cabtwelda wrote:Speaking of which, how are you all planning to get from the airport to the campus? I'll be there. Driving cross country for the UVA-->Michigan-->Berkeley ASWs. Then home to the PNW. Are we all going to meet up?

My flight arrives at 9:50 in the morning and the $15 bus leaves at 9:45 so I'll be sitting in the detroit airport until 12:15 if anyone else gets stuck. Probably to early to drink

You're from PNW? WA?Boggs wrote:I'll be there. Driving cross country for the UVA-->Michigan-->Berkeley ASWs. Then home to the PNW. Are we all going to meet up?
And I think a TLS meet up is definitely in order.
Probably. I don't get your bus plan, though...you're going to take the 9:45 bus but you'll be at the airport until 12:15?AreJay wrote:My flight arrives at 9:50 in the morning and the $15 bus leaves at 9:45 so I'll be sitting in the detroit airport until 12:15 if anyone else gets stuck.
