I'm thinking of attending also, but I'd like to know the schedule of events that will take place. I cant seem to find it anywhere on their website or in MyUM/admitted students website.

Where did you guys find the info? I hope its not too late to RSVP.

The Kent or Loyola can't decide prospective law student (me) will be in attendance for this law day in Miami, as I'll be down there with my dad from Thurs-Sun!! I saved up a few PTO days for the law firm I work at, so I even get paid while taking my talents to South Beach (thx LeBron). Maybe I should just go there :) I look forward to the visit.

My grandparents live in there area during all of the cold months and are currently living around Miami, and I really like the area. A lott

For anyone who has not been to Hollywood Beach, I consider it the best place on the planet.

LMAO @ calling Hollywood Beach the best place on the planet!

Ft Lauderdale Beach > Hollywood

Miami's worst beach > Hollywood

I don't know if you are joking or not; my bad if you are.

I actually wasn't joking, but that's because I loooooove Hollywood Beach. Nonetheless, point taken lol.

My family has visited there for years. I'm actually pretty unfamiliar with most other beaches in the Miami area. I will not back down, though, in proclaiming how amazing Hollywood Beach is. That broadwalk, all those stores, shops, and bars alongside it, the scenery, setting, aesthetics, etc .. amazing. I'll have to go to other beaches, of course.

I celebrated New Year's on that beach a few years back. Memories for a lifetime

I was really hoping that the ASD would sway me either way, but I'm more confused than ever...I really liked Dean White's response to the rankings question and it seems like if you do well you'll get a decent job. I'm also really interested in tax law, and Miami seems to specialize in that somewhat. However, I've also heard some bad things about Miami and I'm not sure I want to stay in South Florida forever (I know they said you can leave but I don't know if you can bank on that).

I wasn't really Wow'ed either. Seems to be a good school, but it is easily the most expensive school in the state. In addition, this area of miami is also one of the most expensive areas in Florida. UM isn't THAT highly ranked and I'm not sure that it would be worth it. I got into many schools in the state and I'm seriously considering FIU. You get the job market of miami for a third of the cost. No stressing maintaining a GPA for scholarships. Literally, everytime you pull out you're wallet at FIU (tuition, books, apt on south beach, food, utilities, etc.) = price of just tuition at UM.
