Visiting Law Schools

How important is it to visit law schools during the ASW? I am trying to see both Duke and UVA, which are a week apart. It seems like a long time to be there, but flying back to Cali is crazy. Do I need to be there during the special day? Can I just visit whenevs?

visiting LS during ASW is as important as you want it to be.
i'd say if you can, come over to the east coast, visit your schools (going to your preferred ASW, then visit next)
during the special day, you might get a better feel for the student body that you may join. i'm sure the school will pull out some nice things to impress you. but really, as you said, you can just visit whenevs.
