For me Alabama is probably my Plan G but I was considering going out there to interview for the dean's scholar award just as a back up. Anyone else doing that and if so when do you plan on going?

What are the details for the dean's scholar award (i.e., amount, requirements, etc.)?

I interviewed back in November, and I had a really great time. They really go out of their way to set everything up and make you feel welcome. I sat in on a few classes, had lunch with students, dinner with students, and got to talk with a few professors in the field I'm interested in. You also have interviews with a few different people, including the dean, associate dean, and one of the admissions deans.
For the other poster, I don't know much about the requirements (they just told me that I was being considered), but it's a full-tuition scholarship with a $2k stipend. The dean also serves as your mentor.

Would you really take Bama full scholarship over Michigan sticker?

Of course not but when I started this thread I'd only gotten into Alabama.
