At an Admitted students day, do you usually show up with family or by yourself? I don't want to be the only tool that brings his family there. I know for the open house, most people brought parents.

It was a rare student who had parents at the one I went to. And they stood out. Ugh AND the parents asked questions. I'd recommend against, if you can help it...

The opposite experience for me...

Though parents did ask questions that really displayed a lack of research on their (or their children's) part

Mine won't be asking questions, I just don't want to stand out.

Don't worry about standing out. They might make you feel more confident or they might ask questions that are helpful. You are getting ready to start school where you get singled out in class to discus cases, you need to be ok standing out. I am starting LS this year and my kids are probably as old as you, do you think I will stand out? Get used to the opposite, try and stand out as much as you can so you get used with it.

As long as your parents aren't asking questions, and they are just being an observant 2nd party, then go for it. Screw what other people at the ASD think about you bringing your parents. You're trying to make a decision that will impact the rest of your life. Do what YOU want.
