I think it'd be cool to all stay at the same hotel downtown during the UT ASW. Suggestions are welcome.

I was just in Austin.
Stay at the Omni.
Good bar and expensive as fuck. Good way to make it rain in style. Plus its close to 6th/4th street

From Austin. Downtown has a plethora of hotels. Omni if you want to go fancy.
Anything downtown will be serviceable. Just make sure you are looking west of I-35, from 6th street to 12th street.

Also picking a hotel to stay at is a bad idea.
Meeting up with people from the "internet" is not always as fun as it might seem....

Was pretty awkward. But, posters on offtopic by definition have problems so I dunno. I guess tls might be different but who knows? Also, I am pretty shy when I meet new people

I am a big fan of the Four Seasons in Austin. You can get some great weekend rates.

Meeting people from the internet is perfectly normal. After all, online dating is becoming mainstream. I live just outside Austin, y'all can stay at my place. I have a couple guest bedrooms I will get ready.
