What's the situation with writing samples when applying for lateral positions? I don't want to do anything unethical, but my firm can't know I'm looking at other options. I've got a writing sample that was approved for my post-grad clerkship applications (and its completely anonymized). Any issues using that one? Could I use something else that wasn't approved but is sufficiently anonymized and the matter has been resolved? Thx.
