Interested in lateraling to Kirkland & Ellis? PM Me

Post by doctor » Fri Feb 26, 2021 11:36 am

Kirkland is hiring across all offices and practice areas and I'm happy to spend some time answering questions on the firm, consult with you on your chances, and, within reason, refer your application to our recruiting team. Of course, I'm not involved in hiring decisions but I'll do my best to get you an interview. Big law attorneys looking to switch firms are higher in demand, but Kirkland hires from all places and backgrounds so even if that's not you, reach out anyway and we can figure it out.

What's the policy on lateraling in as, say, a fifth year and making non-share partner?

I’ve always thought TLS should have a separate forum for referrals so we can help each other out and get them bonuses. Nicely played!

I have heard KE is affirmatively not hiring lit laterals in Texas. Is that right?

Nope. Especially with the Austin office coming soon, possibilities are endless.

Your standing is the same as if you started at the firm. You'll make NSP in your 7th year if your reviews go well. I've seen plenty laterals come in at 6th year and immediately make NSP.
