Preparing for a Lateral Interview Tomorrow

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:12 am

I have a first-round lateral interview tomorrow with the managing partner for my practice area. I'm REALLY excited about this new firm but am not sure how to prepare (AmLaw 100, if relevant). I'm currently a 4th year corp associate at the law firm I summered with, so I've never done a "substantive" legal interview. For those of you who have lateraled, what types of questions should I expect in a 30 minute first-round interview? What about during a second round? Any questions I should make sure to ask? Thanks!
