Considering a Move: New York Litigation

Post by pinkflower » Thu Oct 24, 2019 2:26 pm

I am considering leaving a “band 2” New York firm on the basis that, as a litigator, I am not getting enough opportunities to join large, general commercial lit cases. Most of my work here has been fast-paced corporate litigation. I know most NY lit practices tend to rely on their corporate clients for work, but are there any major exceptions to that? I am actually quite unfamiliar with the litigation landscape here, as I lateraled from an office in a different city for personal reasons. I should add that I am very sensitive to firm culture, and am not interested in a firm that treats its junior associates terribly. Thanks very much!
