Partner and alternative tracks for boutique l&e firms
Trying to make a decision about a lateral to one of the big l&e firms from fed govt. I can’t stand the practice I’m in, but I’m not sure dumping the benefits/pension for similar pay at one of the big l&e firms would be worth it with all of the naysaying I hear about BigLaw showing you the door at year 6-7 unless you’re really brining home the bacon. The big l&e firms seem to have more non-equity shareholders/partners and of counsel roles though. Am I just seeing things? Anyone have any thoughts?
