Placed on reserve or actual Waitlist?
Actual waitlist with both numbers at their 75%
How were you notified, when did your status checker change, and what did it say?

Did you turn to EAC online and get a letter notifying you of WL? If so, when did you go EAC? When did you get letter, if you got one? If not, did the status checker say WL? Or did you find out by letter?

Just checked my status, it updated on the 14th saying expect a decision in 10-14 days. I assume it's a rejection? Did waitlists come via email or mail?

That will likely be a reserve (I have the same DR), but I'm surprised you haven't received the mail yet. I received mine on Saturday, but I'm in NYC, so that might explain it.

Same deal with me. DR 4/14. No letter yet...but I am in TX. Maybe they just sent our letters later.

Status checker updated to the 14th. I got the WL by snail mail.

Crazy and very inconsistent with their other decisions. Do you have something really unusual about your application? You applied early action? At any rate, I'm sorry to hear that. Will you be staying on the WL or attending somewhere else?
I can't think of a reason why they waitlisted me; I have good softs (published, great recommendations, etc.). It's not a big deal given I will be attending Boalt. Good luck everyone!

is there any consensus on what the next step is for reserved applicants? my parents got the letter, so i am uncertain as to what it says exactly, but are we basically waitlisted or should we expect another decision soon? wasn't the seat deposit deadline the 16th or something? should i be calling them?

thx

The letter says to write a LOCI by May 14th to stay in consideration. I don't think we should expect to hear until end of May, early June.

I was placed on continued Reserve (Decision 4/14/2010). My letter actually said my application will be reviewed again in May and that at that point either a yes/no decision will be made or I will be put on waiting list. It also explicitly said I do not need to put in a LOCI to be considered further.

Interesting. You must be on some kind of special Reserve list. (Damn you!!) I just rechecked mine and it definitely says I need to write them by May 14.

2 more weeks max before they give us a FINAL decision, as in WL, IN, or OUT. Right?

Anyway, I got my acceptance e-mail this morning!
For what it's worth, my status still says 4/14 Early Action Complete and I received the same deferral letter then, the one that said something along the lines of "send us a letter if you still want to be considered." (I was also EA deferred initially in December)

The email says (copied and pasted):
"We couldn't wait to let you know that we're offering you admission to our J.D. Class of 2013. The official admission letter and packet from our office is in the mail and you should receive it soon."

Good luck to all of you still hanging on!!!!
wow, congrats! wasn't sure this would ever happen. i am curious, did you say anything to the effect that you would accept their offer of admission if admitted?

edit: except for the "would be fine" part. I'd like the acceptance.
