Hey, I went complete 1/21 and got accepted 1/29..... Does the scholarship info come with the acceptance package?

They don't come in the same package; however, mine arrived on the same day.

No. I got the acceptance package first in a large blue packet. Nearly a week later I received a small envelope containing scholarship info..

Congrats on your quick acceptance..

Does anyone know about the living situation near Hofstra? I heard Hempstead is the ghetto of Long Island. Are there decent safe places to live? Is it possible to find a decent studio or one bedroom for $700 or less/month?

It's pretty much the ghetto, you're gonna want to find someplace to live east of campus because if you go west it gets pretty bad. I don't know about the $700/month rent, COL is still pretty high even though its not in the nicest area. You're only about 10 minutes from Garden City, one of the most prestigious places to live in Nassau County...but you could find something that cheap in Uniondale or East Garden City, which aren't too bad.

Where did you guys see the part about the Honors Scholarship letter? My application was sent, completed, and Accepted in about 7 days which made me hopeful about receiving scholarship money, but now I'm not so sure. :?

Log into your status checker. On the left side there is a section labeled "Mailings". Under "Mail Description" it should say "Application Received Email" "Acceptance Letter released" and "Honors Scholarship Letter"

How long after you were accepted did they send out your letter? I was accepted 2/2 but it doesn't have "acceptance letter released" under mailings

The package was dated 6 days after I was accepted via email. The scholarship letter showed up about a week after the blue acceptance package.

^^

Use your full LSAC account number (including the L) and type in your DOB as mm/dd/yyyy. I just got an email the other day saying they were having trouble with it but it has since been fixed. You should be able to get in now.

In via status checker coupled with a nice e-mail from admissions. seems they have a bunch of nice admitted students day gatherings, esp. the one with cocktails. lol

I received my waitlisted letter today (along with Michigan State and San Francisco). The letter was dated 02/08/2010.

File still with adcomm. This is week 3. Feels like an unusually long time. Is this a bad sign? I was status checking every day for the first ten days, now not so much. Hoping for good news but it seems like the people who received good news weren't waiting all that long.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
