I just want to mention that the school might be sold to a for profit institution. Not sure if it is final but here is an article I found.

Charleston is my home market, and where I ultimately want to end up. Great city. But it is a new school, and doesnt have much prestige or a strong alumni base due to this. If you're set on staying in Charleston, you might want to make sure you have a full ride, or else look into South Carolina Law. Most of the partners of Charleston firms went to SC Law.

Only about 7% of grads ended up in firms with 25+ lawyers or in fed clerkships.

not sure.
Charleston, SC
I think it was just accredited by the Bar within the last few years, maybe? It's one of those company owned schools. Great area, okay employment placing within SC. But if you want to stay in SC for the rest of your life, and not rack up 200K of debt, you'd be silly in going to Charleston over Univ of South Carolina.

Charlotte School of Law also.

I really hope College of Charleston buys the law school someday and makes it legit. Charleston is such a great place for a law school and it's a shame to see the only option is not only for-profit, but not very good.
I know, I wish it was a good school because I'd love to live in Chucktown

CofC was looking into buying it, but it ultimately didn't because Charleston School of Law was losing money and because the law school only received ABA accreditation in 2011.

PinkLaw, while you seem like a great person, that pink hurts my eyes. Sitting at a computer all day for work, hard to handle :P
