Me neither, I had to cop out with the URL thing for Philaw's beverage. Glad that HLS didn't test my ability in this department...Philaw wrote:Mrs. trucker.....I can't figure out how to put a picture in....help?TruckerD wrote:MrsTrucker: Ooooh!! Gimme Gimme!! They sent me a lovely email today, BTW, which considerably brightened up the clouds of YLS and SLS non-news.

MrsTrucker: I PM'ed Philaw, but I can see if I can explain how to do it.
First, you need a photobucket account. You download the photo onto their site, then copy the code to share the photo. There should be one for message boards to use. Copy that link, then paste it into your message here. voila!! Clear as mud, huh?

No, I get it. The photobucket account was the missing bit of information.TruckerD wrote:MrsTrucker: I PM'ed Philaw, but I can see if I can explain how to do it.

Just wanted to report that our fellow TLS-er marbletop has become the 1st TLS-er of the cycle to score the trifecta of HYS!!! You can go congratulate her if you want on this stunning achievement.

I'm talking about the acceptance to my safety Northeastern yesterday. I told my parents today, and now we're celebrating.
And thanks Robin!

Re: USS: Optimism
Congratulations Jaskat!! Doesn't it feel great to receive your first acceptance? I was really pleased when I got into my first school, even though it also was a safety. It's a wonderful sensation to know--and know before Christmas--that you will definitely have somewhere to go next fall.
MrsTrucker: Thanks for the cheery advice! I've started to dislike weekends during the admissions process, which is not a healthy sentiment. It's good to remember that they're supposed to be fun! I'm going to do some reading today, as well as Christmas shopping.
(And of course stroking / caressing my avatar, if it doesn't offend Philaw's sensibilities. I thought that women generally liked being stroked, but I tend to enjoy the stroking even more than they enjoy receiving it--including in real life. Hahaha.)

I tried to stroke my avatar, but he is so angry! Sheesh... you expect to get a cute little white bunny, and instead you end missing some fingertips.
Congrats, jaskat!!!!!

I had one tonight myself... Dropped it perfectly in the conversation. You could have heard a pin drop for about five seconds while everyone at the table stopped and stared at me... I swear, you could almost hear crickets chirping.
I'm sitting by saying, "What? Is this thing on??? Hello???"

The worst experience is when you have to explain a two-sentence joke in two long paragraphs and then everyone asks you to say it again.jackalope11 wrote:HA! (My actual reaction, nobody bad jokes like a jackalope!)managamy wrote:Maybe he just likes finger food.jackalope11 wrote:

Yeah, don't you love that moment when you're in the middle of explaining the joke, and you know nobody is getting it... so you inevitably try to talk faster to explain it. Never freaking works.
My favorite is the look on everyone's faces as you explain... Or a variation thereof.
