Aren't you guys a trifle embarrassed to be so thoroughly outgunned by the eyepatch-and-bandana crew over on USS Bitter Pessimism?
Keep the good karma rolling, people...I'm sure that you'll all have a wonderful holiday season!

Not outgunned, managamy, just outnumbered. It's like China v. the US...One billion patch-eyed naysayers won't hold up to the good-morale and long-guns of our crew. I don't even think Mtal's harsh pessimism could hold up to TruckerD's wife's good spirit and kindness.managamy wrote:Aren't you guys a trifle embarrassed to be so thoroughly outgunned by the eyepatch-and-bandana crew over on USS Bitter Pessimism?

I am optimistic about RD, FT, DR 12/1 batch because I refuse to believe that gtown would be rejecting anyone at 170+ this early in the cycle...

You're right. Plus, we haven't gotten an e-mail in 5 days, and they said 3-5 days for letters or e-mails to go out. That should be easy optimism.ughOSU wrote:I am optimistic about RD, FT, DR 12/1 batch because I refuse to believe that gtown would be rejecting anyone at 170+ this early in the cycle...

Thank you for not hurling me off your ship as did the villainous buccaneers downstream, who seem determined to interpret kindness as condescension.

theory: my extensive experience in academia allowed me to right an incredibly complex personal statement that is simply over the heads of the deans of all the schools ive applied to. once they find someone even more knowledge than i (a search that obviously takes a lot of time and resources) to translate my ps into layman's terms, they will be so eager to snatch me up that the acceptances will come rushing in

Eh. They have me framed as their quintessential villain: Darth Vader, Stalin, Iago, Big Brother all rolled into one horrific individual. But I feel that I have made them happier by offering them target practice; they just don't seem to have realized it.Philaw wrote:

you're a narcissist and probably an ego maniac. You'd make a good lawyer, but you're unlikely to ever be given the opportunity.managamy wrote:Eh.
