In via email, what does everyone think about Tulane? I applied simply because I'd heard so many good things on here. Tell me about it.

Also in today via e-mail. Im pretty pumped about Tulane! Was really suprised to hear from them today though. Was today the first wave of acceptances?

i'm still at application received. when did you guys submit? tulane is in my hometown. good school. great reputation 'round these parts.

I guess I shall jump in here too! Cool to be a part of the first round of acceptances! I applied because I have family ties to Tulane. Family is super stoked I got in!

Complete 9/24, under review 10/05

I submitted 10/27 and got my last LOR in right before Turkey Day.

i applied very early so i wouldn't be surprised if this is the first wave.

Did everyones e-mail say acceptance packet should arrive shortly along with your scholarship information? Does this mean I will def. get at least some scholly money?

Did everyone's status checker switch to Under Review before they got the email? I've been complete for 3 weeks but nothing else has changed.

I've been wondering the same thing. Mine has been complete for over a month now.

I also got the line about scholarship info will be enclosed, so here's hoping!

My status checker never changed to under review, it went straight to decision made.

My e-mail did not include this line...bummer for me...but a good sign for you! Registered for an upcoming LSAT though, hoping to improve score and improve sholarship opportunities.

Congrats to all. I went complete two weeks ago so nothing for me yet, but am anxiously awaiting to hear. I can't seem to talk myself out of Tulane. Maybe I'm just drinking the Kool-Aid, but it seems to be a collegial atmosphere and relatively lower stress 3 years of law school.

My only first hand experience with the school is through a law day at my UG. Their rep was personable and energetic, with a genuine love for the school and desire to answer a prospective's questions. Seemed to be in line with what I've heard about the friendly environment.

ugh one of my top choices with its relatively good national reputation as well as huge jewish population. Went complete 11/4...163 3.6 so right on border.

Can anyone tell me how long it took for Tulane to send out status checker info? I submitted a good bit ago, but have yet to get any word from them. Thanks!

I submitted on Thanksgiving, and got the status checker this past Monday. If it has been longer than that for you, I would pick up the phone and call them to make sure they got everything/your correct contact information.

As for everyone else- congrats! Still waiting to hear back on mine, but I only went complete this past Monday.

Received in the mail a nice Tulane tote bag, and scholarship info. Dean's scholarship of 30000/yr. (75 percent) It is unlikely I would consider them further unless they up the scholarship. (174 3.95)

I also got the Tulane tote bag which was extremely classy and unique in my opinion. Instead of getting an envelope they really take the time to distinguish themselves and I liked that a lot. Anyway, I got the Dean's Scholly also but I'm not sure it's enough for me to really consider going there yet. It was generous (30000/yr) but not enough right now.

I do plan on visiting during their admitted students event. Are you going Trucker? Do you know which dates you'll want to go? It'd be awesome to meet some TLS'ers there!

Unfortunately, probably not. I don't have a lot of time for visits, so I think I will reserve what time I do have for schools who give me full rides. On the other hand, visiting New Orleans is always fun! So, if I happen to be going through there on the truck, I might convince dispatch to let me stop for a while.

Congrats to you as well on the Dean's Scholarship. If nothing else, to say we got the Dean's Scholarship is quite a feather in our caps!

I got the $20k Dean's Scholarship, not sure its enough for me to seriously consider them yet. I was looking for a little more as well but I suppose I won't completely write them off yet. Probably will go to ASW.

Also got $20k Dean's Scholarship. Happy to have received good scholly but still a pretty expensive option. Definitely plan on going to ASW.

I am still waiting. My status checker says: "Decision Made" (As of Dec 4th) What does that mean? What is the "decision made"?? Do they only tell you whether or not you got in via email? (Why not just put "rejected" or "offer of acceptance" on the status checker... or do they??)

Please help a Hopeful:

When you got in, what did the status checker say?

Did you get the acceptance email the same day?

At the bottom left of the status checker page, did it give the dates of the decision made and the date of a "decision" letter sent?

Or did it BOLDLY say, Welcome to Tulane!

I need to know if this "decision made" is a yes or no - and how long after yours said "decision made" did you get an acceptance email?
