Status checker changed to "Decision has been Made" today, which according to the thread is unfortunately a rejection. I was hoping for a WL at least! But oh well, good luck to everyone that ends up attending Tulane, it's such a nice school.

Stats are 2.65/165

Jeez, that's crazy...especially when looking at the historical graphs on LSN. Maybe Tulane has seen a crazy jump in applicants.

I called about 10 minutes after the law finaid office opened and said, "Hi, I was recently accepted and scholarship money was mentioned in the acceptance email. Could you tell me the amount? Thank you." They were very nice about it.

I'm resenting FSU a bit myself because they're taking so long to make a decision...but does it matter now? Not really sure...but I will always be a Nole! *insert Tomohawk Chop here*

Has anyone who has not had email mention of a scholarship get one in the acceptance package?

It either means that something has changed with your application or that they just added some sort of note.

Everyone remember that according to an interview I read with the Tulane admissions dean in 09 NOBODY was offered admissions from the WL:

"LS: What is the typical size of the Tulane waitlist, and how deep do you usually go into the waitlist to admit students?

We typically offer a wait-list status to 200 candidates, not all of whom accept the offer. There have been years when 15% of our class came from the wait list (generally requiring us to make significantly more offers ), and there have been years—like 2009—when we were unable to offer admission to anyone on our wait list. Unfortunately, there’s no “usually” in the case of wait lists. If there were, we probably wouldn’t need to have a wait list."

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that a bunch of us splitters are being held until after the first deposit deadline.

I called the admissions office, and I got a 20k scholarship... anyone know of a way to borrow the entire cost of living above and beyond the 20k in standard loans? I think Tulane is the only school I would go into heavy debt to attend.

Accepted to Tulane yesterday and called today to inquire about any scholarships available. I received a $20,000 a year scholarship in the event I maintain a 3.0 gpa. I was hoping for the $25,000 a year scholly but no dice. I will be withdrawing here soon. I am still debating between SMU and LSU.

Does everyone who gets accepted go complete more than once?

I called the admissions office and found out that unless the acceptance email mentioned a scholarship, no scholarship will be awarded.

Kind of dissapointed for me. But I guess I'm just grateful to be accepted at tulane. Tulane is where I want to go, but I don't think I can convince myself that it would be the smart choice if I get accepted to UF or Arizona.

Does Tulane negotiate scholarships? I received 25,000 per year, but would like a little more, considering I got more from other schools..

no. I have the same and asked for more and they flat out told me it is based solely on LSAT/GPA and that what you are offered is the max they can offer.

I think that it has been the general consensus that if you go complete more than once you are probably in the waitlist/admit ballpark. Could be wrong however since there might have been an example of an admittance after going complete once.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
