Just went under review. It looks like the first batch of acceptances came out in mid-December last year. Anyone else here?

Four years in W-S was enough for me, but if any prospective students have any questions about housing/nightlife/campus life/etc, shoot me a pm.

I did not know that about the ED program this year. I can't find any information on their page either. Do you have a link?

they have a ED program this year, so I think that the frist RD decisions may be a little later, but that is unsubstantiated.
Could be worse. I've had "Administrative Review" since the middle of October.

Just changed from 'Administrative Review' to 'Committee Review' today (11/24)...any idea how much longer the wait might be??

Mine says under administrative review as of today. When I visited weeks ago the admissions people said they had been reading files for weeks. I wish they would just issue some decisions already! Does anyone know if scholly info comes with acceptances or later?

Submitted Oct. 26, haven't heard a peep. Should I be concerned?

ntzsch wrote:yea, i'd bet its January before we hear back. the change to "committee review" seems promising, however.
Other potentially good new is that when i visited they said that they were going to try to put Scholly decisions in at the same time as the decision.
And that answered my question...haha thanks

Hmmm...implementation of new ED program = need more money? They specifically say it is for students who do not intend to compare financial aid offers at multiple schools.

I received an e-mail from the law school. in which I was told that they had read my application and were impressed and that they needed some immigation info.
At first I was really exited, but later I found out I had been e-mailed by the administrative staff. Needless to say I dont care to impress them.

Mine switched to "administrative review" today. I was really excited until I came on here and saw that I then have to be under "committee review." Come on Wake, just accept me!

I spoke with Jennifer Hutcherson from the admissions staff a week or so ago. She said that she is hoping to get RD decisions out even earlier than last year, and that ED will not impact when RD decisions are made. So, hopefully we'll start receiving decisions in the next few weeks.

Good luck everyone.
I went "administrative review" on 10/14.

Oh, I only ment that it would have been awsome to impress the Review Comittee, sadly I am still in Administrative review.
The administrative staff is really nice and helpfull at Wake.

I visited Wake the week before Thanksgiving and met with Melanie Nutt and she said that my acceptance should be in the mail by Christmas... I was really surprised to hear that. I didn't apply ED and my stats are 163 and 3.7...
hopefully this is good information for some one!

I remember seeing something in last year's cycle that sometimes someone will be admitted without going into the Committee Review. So, impressing during the Administrative Review might not be a bad thing.

!WOW! I guess I am just ignorant about the admissions process. I thought during administrative review they only checked that the application was complete.
I really hope to attend Wake Forest, though it is unlikely since I would need a considerable scholarship.

The two review stages, according to their e-mail, are:
Administrative review- Your paper copy has been received, your file has been processed and is currently in the first stage of review.
Committee review- Your file has been passed to the committee and is making the rounds of review. This step varies in duration and may be longer for some than others.
I believe, the senior admissions staff can make a decision to accept someone while in Administrative review if your file is really strong. If not, then you move onto Committee review. This is just my take on things I've read from last year's cycle, and have not heard anything from Wake Forest to back that up.
Wake is my first choice too. Good luck and hopefully you'll be able to attend.
