How easy is it to get in state tuition after the first year?
Pretty much impossible unless you marry a Wisconsinite, as I understand it.

Ya i've certainly made it clear that I will attend if admitted and move immediately, just talked with admissions and it looks like they cut a 80% of people from the waitlist and i'm still on it!!

But...they dont know if they are still going to look at the wait list at all as the class is already overly full..

Thoughts??

If I get in off one of my preferred schools that I'm WLed at, I'd be opening up a spot at UW. Super psyched about Madison, but willing to ride out a couple of other schools!

pretty sure you can't 1L, but i could be mistaken...

there was something about books in that packet they mailed out saying we'd have to buy them at orientation, and that they had preordered them for us.

Withdrew this afternoon... really liked the school but I don't think it's my best option. Good luck, all!

Got a packet in the mail today...another orientation schedule, apparently class schedules will be emailed to us later.

And the 2010-2011 tuition numbers are out http://www.law.wisc.edu/prospective/tuitionandcosts.htm

I personally enjoyed the Enrollment Commitments section - "At the time of this mailing, more than twenty of you have committed to attend Wisconsin as well as at least one other school...." Haha. I think they've played this game before.

Indirectly.

I was very disappointed getting that mailing. One of the first things it says is that they've finalized class schedules. I immediately tore the package apart to try and find it, only to waste 5 minutes flipping through everything before I realized they didn't send it to us.

Such a tease.

Excuse me for seeming rather immature... but did anyone else see that we get to participate in a freaking kickball tournament!!! Last time I played was like in 5th grade!

AHH

Hearing all of this is like dangling candy in front of a baby....so frustrating!

Anyone of those "20 or more" double deposits out there..PLEASE, PLEASE notify Wisco if you are not going.

As of now it looks like they are just going to see who doesn't show up at orientation then make calls that day to see if other people want to attend....wish me luck!

Schedule 8! Every class, every day, beginning at 8:50. It could be worse...right?

*Edited for correct start time. Don't want anyone to be 5 minutes late on the first day!

I am going to have a hard time making it to that first class... I can barely get up at 11 let alone like 8. During undergrad my gf saved me from missing two early exams because I just seriously do not wake up that early even if I had 8 hours of sleep.

Lol well I guess someone has to get the lowest grade in contracts... I'll take one for the team.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
