Has anyone had their status not go blank and still get rejected?

My status went right from "file complete" to "decision rendered 4/22". Who knows... hopefully they just didn't change the status to "in review" for this particular batch of acceptance letters.

There is no "in review" status for the status checker. It is supposed to go straight to DR.

DR here as well. I don't know why, but I am sensing a batch of WLs. One could be optimistic and think its acceptances because it seems they have accepted less people so far than some of the other schools such as SCU and USF, or at least they have rejected a lot more people

WLs are sent via email. If we get DR then it is either acceptance or rejection. I have been tracking and following and reading every single post since Page 1....sigh.

To add: My status checker changed to "Waitlisted" then I got an email a couple hours later.

nope, it's just the same as a reject, they aren't gonna give any clues or it defeats the whole purpose of mail only notification because one could find out if they were accepted or rejected the day the DR went through if it showed fees.

If your status changed from complete to DR, then you will get either an Acceptance or Rejection letter in the snail mail.

I was waitlisted on 4/16 and my status changed from Complete to Waitlisted, followed by an email.

I am a couple of hours away from SD, so if they mailed it out today before 5 pm it should be here by Saturday at the earliest. Monday for sure though. I'll let you guys know.

I called and they said that even though it says letter mailed, it is not. They have to authorize everything or some other beauracratic stuff. Probably won't be mailed out till next week:-(

If you don't mind me asking, why? I am just asking because I think it seems like we are all kind of in the same range.

I was born in Kazakhstan and came here later in life. I was told that makes me an un-traditional applicant becuase there are not many people from that part of the world trying to go to law school.No borat jokes please, he is not real

Thanks and good luck. The "quite un-traditional" got my interest going. I would rather be Borat than his fuzzy friend.

Just stay positive, USD is a good school, but if you excel at a school within the top 100 the expectation of a good legal career with a nice paying job is completely possible and do not let people tell you otherwise. Im pulling for all you guys!

+1 for encouraging and positive posts like this one. I have to say that through this grueling process of waiting to hear from school after school and encouraging my OCD via status checker frenzies and constant TLS patrolling, it is refreshing when I come across a post that's optimistic. Good luck to everyone with a recent DR from USD and on the rest of your cycle! Let's stay positive - this cycle is nearing its end!
