Re: UC Davis
I think at this point evaluation consists of an application being read by every student in the law school...perhaps even all of the undergrads as well.
Then for a fun twist, maybe adcomms stand by the freeway and flag down cars to ask the people inside what they think of the application.

Re: UC Davis
They asked me what they should do with your app. I told them to waitlist you until I'm admitted. After that, they are free to let you instar10 wrote:I think at this point evaluation consists of an application being read by every student in the law school...perhaps even all of the undergrads as well.

Under evaluation since Jan.
161/3.72
Initially complete in mid-Oct. But at last minute I decided to re-take LSAT.
Went complete w/new score (pfft) early Jan.

Re: UC Davis
Well, shit. I guess this explains it:
"Applications to UC Davis School of Law in 2010 increased by a remarkable 21.6 percent compared to last year, with the Law School receiving its third-highest number of applications in school history. King Hall received 4,036 applications, far surpassing the 3,318 received in 2009. The Law School's increase was more than triple the national average increase of 6.1 percent."

Holy guacamole! I wonder how that's going to affect their averages for this year.ozarkhack wrote:Well, shit. I guess this explains it:

Can't be good. Surely they'll get to be more discriminating. That = I'm pretty screwed, given I was borderline based on last year's numbers.calgal17 wrote:Holy guacamole! I wonder how that's going to affect their averages for this year.

Veritas you have BU under your belt, if I remember it correctly. You were so awesome, they accepted you twice!Veritas wrote:oh noes, this makes me nervous
I'm sure you'll have no problem.
As for me, I've been waiting since the end of Dec. So almost 2 months now.

You'd choose Davis over BU?

Re: UC Davis
I've been following along and I just wanted to point out... just because the number of applications increased that doesn't necessarily mean that the quality of those applicants is any better... they very well could have close to the same medians for 2010-2011
Davis is my top choice and I'm hoping to hear soon... best of luck to everyone!

If you pulled that from Davis, look again: It's the profile of students who merely applied.cherryalamode wrote:Anyone know the 25-median-75 percentiles for LSAT and GPA?

Of course, that's still relevant. For one, it lets me know that my 161 is much less attractive to them now than it will be in, say, August (and even then, iffy at best ...). But it's NOT the profile of the group that actually enrolled.
Those of us on the lower end just have to hope that those kids at 164+ keep choosing to go elsewhere.

well that + the 21.6% increase in apps this year compared to last. third highest amount of applicants in history of UC Davis. they probably received an even better pool this year...ozarkhack wrote:If you pulled that from Davis, look again: It's the profile of students who merely applied.cherryalamode wrote:Anyone know the 25-median-75 percentiles for LSAT and GPA?

So if I got in with a 163 LSAT and a good GPA, should I expect a good scholly offer?
