Hey I got my application in on October 27th and I just called the admissions office today and was told that my application was complete. Does anyone have any idea the earliest I would be hearing back from them?

On December 1, they send a status checker link to your email. I think they're pretty slow.

yeah I've heard of people last year though getting their application in around the same time and hearing back before Thanksgiving. The office of admissions said that they start reviewing applications in mid-November.

Check the PSU 2008-2009 cycle on LSN. You can definitely find out there.

Hey thanks that was pretty helpful. It seems that if you are at their medians or above them you hear sooner depending on when you get your application in. We'll see...

No problem. Yeah, I definitely noticed that. Those above received decisions as early as late November, whereas those at or below had to wait until well after the new year.

I've gone complete at Penn. I hope to get an answer soon, as my numbers are at or above the median (3.23, 164).

PSU is def a target school of mine!!

Has anyone received an email saying their application is complete? I only received the "received" email in October. Based on LSN, we should be hearing some decision next week (let's hope!)

Submitted mine at almost the exact some time as the OP and haven't heard anything beyond the initial confirmation. Am also hoping we'll here some news in the next week or so here.

Hey I also got a "Received" email a couple of days after I sent it in but no complete e-mail so I called the admissions office a couple of weeks ago and they said I was complete so you may want to try calling the admissions office.

Looks like PSU has sent out the status checkers today. I'm "under review" as of 11/3 (according to the checker). Anyone else get theirs?

I just got mine too! I have been under review since 11/3 as well. I wonder when we should start hearing decisions?

I just got the status checker too. I submitted mine on 10/17, and it says my review began 11/3. Good luck all

Just received mine. The fact that it's a different username than all the other status checkers is a little annoying, but on the plus side, the link is conveniently located on their homepage. And it's nice to know I went complete way back on 11/11.

Status Checker received. My username was the same as every other though. Been complete since 11/3. Fingers crossed for a decision in the near future.

Using LSN it looks like last year's first admits came on Thanksgiving.

I'm going to be optimistic and hope they continue their trend from last year's cycle. On LSN, they sent a wave of acceptances the day before Thanksgiving.

Yeah. When did you get accepted to PennState?

Also, did you apply to Temple/Villanova/Pitt?

If so what made you choose Penn?

I love state college and my family is in central and western PA, if I'm in (hopefully with money) im going! Status checker just says I went complete on 11/16, no decision yet.
