I'm withdrawing from both ND and Duke if they don't give me a decision w/in the next 2 weeks. 15 weeks is just a ridiculously long time to wait to hear from a school that's not Yale or Stanford.

Please do. Clearly, you're not terribly interested in either...D Brooks wrote:I'm withdrawing from both ND and Duke if they don't give me a decision w/in the next 2 weeks. 15 weeks is just a ridiculously long time to wait to hear from a school that's not Yale or Stanford.

Congrats to those who were recently admitted. Good luck to those still waiting. I really hope you get some good news soon! Especially those for whom ND is a top choice.

wish there was more to say on this forum almost half way through week 12 (including break) and no word except: "some files take more time than others." not sure what to make of it but waiting anxiously and with hope.

thanks, I'm surprisingly chill after all this time. Probably cause I have no idea what's going on or anyway to figure it out.ndirish2010 wrote:Anytime. Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
It's only been a bit over a month for me (complete 1/8), but I really really really want to get in here more than any other school right now and for some reason the longer it goes, the more nervous I'm getting about it. At least I'll be the first to know when they send out decisions, since I can walk to their admissions office from my off campus apartment in about 15 minutes. Mail shouldn't take too long.Lisa7n99 wrote:wish there was more to say on this forum almost half way through week 12 (including break) and no word except: "some files take more time than others." not sure what to make of it but waiting anxiously and with hope.

Ahh, you attend ND now? I'm actually originally from East Chicago, IN, a short trip on the south shore to South Bend. Notre Dame is also a top choice for me, but considering I live in New Mexico now, I'm not so fortunate with the mail I also work nearly 20 miles from my home so can't run by over lunch to pick it up. Drives me crazy. Best of luck to you and all waiting.

Yep, in my third year here after transferring from BC, and I love it. I would really like to stay here for three more years, hopefully the admissions committee lets it happen

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
I got waitlisted yesterday, somewhat expected with my numbers (165/3.6x). I've heard the WL can go the distance so I'm not gonna be too optimistic...

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
Ive been on the WL since November. (163/3.51) Ive added an additional LOR, a why ND essay, and a 4.0 semester with the completion of both my majors. New cumulative GPA is 3.59. Anyone think I got a chance? It seems that the waitlist is quite extensive.

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
The GPA boost will certainly help, although I think you are still below both medians so I think you will definitely need a bit of luck! I'm not that thrilled about the WL, I assume I'll be paying sticker if I come off it and I have some good offers at other schools so we will have to see...eberl032 wrote:Ive been on the WL since November. One added thing: I have a buddy who is now a 2L at ND who got in with a 160, 3.8 gpa off the waitlist end of July. He visited the school after he was WL'ed and met with admissions, submitted LOCI, got his pre law advisor to send in an additional LOR so it can be done...

Waitlisted on Friday. Damn this was one of my safeties, too. What a terrible cycle I am having.

It's not that bad...your profile says you already got into WashU, BU, and Vandy, things could be worse. Sorry about the rejection thoughJP09 wrote:Waitlisted on Friday. Damn this was one of my safeties, too. What a terrible cycle I am having.

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
Got waitlisted today. Snail mail envelope, just like everyone's been talking about. My numbers are around their median (GPA - 3.66, LSAT slightly below at 164) so hopefully I stand a good chance of getting off the waitlist. I'm waitlisted at both ND and Illinois and I have confidence that I'll be accepted at one of them.
Still waiting on IU-Bloomington, which I have more of a chance at being accepted into, but everything I've heard suggests that ND and Illinois have a considerable edge over Indiana.

I feel you. ND and Illinois were supposed to be my safeties and I've been waitlisted at both. I got accepted into Loyola-Chi (super-safety) but I'm not sure if it's even worth going to.JP09 wrote:Waitlisted on Friday. Damn this was one of my safeties, too. What a terrible cycle I am having.
It's probably not as bad as it seems. Worst case scenario, we don't get to become lawyers.

Ugh, sorry about the WL. Write a good LOCI and hopefully they will take you off! When did you go complete?fenderjsm88 wrote:Got waitlisted today. Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
I don't have the "complete" email anymore, but I went complete sometime in early-mid December (I think most of my apps went complete around December 12th.) I need to get started on my LOCIs. I've got a lot of them to write haha. I'm still holding out for acceptances at Fordham and/or BU. Fingers crossed!ndirish2010 wrote:Ugh, sorry about the WL. Yeah. It is getting pretty freakin ridiculous. I just wanna find out why they are taking so long with our applications.Veritas wrote:, it's just silly now, right?brose002 wrote:And yet again nothing in the mail. Notre Dame is killing me at this point. 16 weeks and counting...
