I would be surprised if it was truly 166. Judging on my knowledge of their LSN data, 166 seems to high to be median.

I do believe the current USNWR rankings are for the Class of 2011, and the rankings on BU's site are for the Class of 2012. I wonder if BU is becoming more numbers-driven than they have been historically.

Re: BU! woot.
So I have been hearing mixed answers on this and wanted a clarification. After being accepted I understand that the scholarship offer comes separate, do you have to do anything above and beyond applying for consideration. Everyone else who was accepted 12/3 via phone seems to be seeing their scholarship offers arriving. One of the admission people at a forum talked to me about filling out something in order to be considered. However, I am curious for those of you who have received scholarships, did you do anything else besides the basic application?

I would REALLY like to know this as well. I can't remember filling out any extra info, got the call 12/3, and haven't got any offer either.Padimud wrote:So I have been hearing mixed answers on this and wanted a clarification. Re: BU! woot.
The something in the mail she was talking about is the general admissions packet. At least for me it was.beamsmehome wrote:I got my call 12/10 and would also be interested for more information, if any of you out there know... although the woman on the phone said I would be receiving something in the mail shortly. Would this mailing be that scholarship information, or just the general stuff? I assumed the latter.ilovelawapps wrote:I would REALLY like to know this as well. I met with a woman in the BU finaid office back in September and she said we're automatically considered for scholarships, so I would take that to mean no extra applications.
(for need base aid, you obviously need to do FAFSA, etc.)

This whole waiting for scholarship offers is almost worse than waiting for acceptances. There is no way I can afford BU without some love from the committee.

Hmm, I went complete 11/25. I just realized that my husband's number is on the form as my "daytime phone number" and his voicemail only says his first name. Do you think they would still leave a message? Is it too early to even worry about it? Too presumptuous to call and correct the phone number?

I would call and fix it. Just say you realized your contact info was wrong and you'd like to make sure it's correct. I think that's better than having THEM realize you messed up.jks289 wrote:Hmm, I went complete 11/25. Ok, I did just that. They were ncie about it. I was secretly hoping she woud say "Oh, we've been trying to call you for AGES! You're in." ... No such luck.Kiersten1985 wrote:I would call and fix it. Did anyone else get the BU Week in the Life email? Why would you send something like that to an applicant. Do they want me to have a heart attack?
