First ding of the cycle. But it wasn't really unexpected (damn you LSAT!) At least I finally went into review at CU today...

Dinged. Not a huge surprise, although I am a little disappointed I didn't receive a waitlist offer, as LSN seems to suggest I would have a decent shot at one. All in all, Illinois was a pretty big reach for me so I can't say I am devastated, although I have to admit I am a little sad I won't be spending another three years here.

Congrats to everyone admitted today and good luck to everyone still waiting!

Dean Pless,

How many people do you expect to be on the wait list this year?

New files going into review are those that were complete up through and including January 25th. Decisions will come out on Thursday the 18th. I will be attending the LA and Oakland LSAC forums on 2.20 and 2.21.

Really hard to say this year and I think it will fluctuate a bit. I would guess that at our peak it would be 250 or so.

Waitlisted

Probably shoulda played less Madden and done more extracurriculars.

I did, however, win the Super Bowl with the Browns.

I was accepted last Friday and just received my letter in the mail today :) Seriously love the administration at UIUC. Hope Dean Pless's hand doesn't hurt too much from signing all these letters!

I was very happy to receive an email today saying that I had been admitted to UIUC, and received "a scholarship of $40000 per year which is guaranteed for all three years." I haven't received my packet in the mail yet, of course, but I was wondering what the expected tuition increases for UIUC are for the next couple of years? In other words, how much tuition (only) will I be responsible for, after the scholarship?
Thanks.
Wow, congrats. Practically nothing. Last year's out of state tuition was 40k. I'd guess even with a 10% increase (extreme), you're only paying 4k + 3k in fees. lucky you. :P

WL

Illinois is definitely one of my top three choices. I guess it's time to work on a nice LOCI.

Congrats. Dean Pless posted a week or two ago that he didn't foresee any large tuition increases in the coming years.
I have all my fingers crossed. I really hope it stays as it is.
