i'm under review, went complete on 10/19
Edit: sorry i'm also "pending review/decision" i just assumed it meant under review

Yeah, I'm still waiting for word one. Submitted almost 3 weeks ago.

I applied on 10/17, went complete pretty quickly, and thats where I am right now. It says "Pending review/decision", so I guess that means it is just in the "file complete" stage.

Went complete on Oct. 23.
Accepted this morning. Got an email asking me to call the director of admissions.

really? i thought we had another month or so before hearing from uva. but congrats! at this point, i just want any news to break up the status checking monotony

Yeah. I thought that it would be a while too, but he said he had just read my PS and liked it. I was very surprised for the amazingly quick turnaround.

Good lord, 4 days after going complete and you are already accepted? You must have had some eye-popping stats that they want to lock down as early as possible.

Just to clarify, my status checker says "pending review/decision". This doesn't mean that it is under review, does it? Would it specifically say "under review"?

Mine actually never changed to under review. I checked it very early this morning and it just said complete/pending and then a couple of hours later I got the email asking me to call. Not sure if this is typical.

Your PS must have been amazing if they specifically referenced that as a reason you were accepted so quickly. Do you think you could PM it to me? I would love to read it. Congrats btw.

Mine does. But, you bring up a good point. I am not sure if the seat deposit parts were there before I was accepted. Hmmmm...

It was either the same day, or early the next day. I do not remember.
