Re: In at Santa Clara!!
I think they may be waitlisting all sub 3.0s regardless of lsat. Neil and myself are both sub 3s with 169 lsat score, and yet were seeing people with 3.1 161 get in. That's the only logical explanation I can think of. Not that this process is at all logical to begin with

if it helps anyone feel a little calmer, I was under review for I think 2 months before I got my decision and I don't think that my numbers held them up.

Re: In at Santa Clara!!
I think it's a split-credentials thing - rather than a lower gpa, it's my lsat that sucks.
I'm been in 2nd Review since 1/5. WTF. When am I'm going to get my decision?!

Decision rendered yesterday with deposit amount dates and listed. From what I've read I'm in correct? Submitted my app on the last day possible so I dunno what's holding these other apps. My numbers were 3.14 with 161 lsat and medicore softs. Hope this helps

This is the only Santa Clara thread right now, right?
there is no Santa Clara 2010 or Santa Clara class of 2013 thread, right?

This is the only thread, but I'm pretty sure it's just for talking about admissions. You should make a Santa Clara Class of 2013 thread though if you're going there. I'll join.superflush wrote:This is the only Santa Clara thread right now, right?

Re: In at Santa Clara!!
I got an update of, "Decision mailed"
I have two deposits listed on the bottom at $200 and $500 respectively.
From reading this forum i would say its safe to assume an acceptance, correct?

Hey all. Deposit is coming up. Can anyone confirm that even if we check "Yes. I plan to attend Santa Clara University School of Law" and put in our info, we can still back out???

Yeah, about two weeks ago. Transferred funds online. Takes about a day or two to post so I'd make note of that.lawman2010 wrote:Anyone pay deposit online already?

I withdrew yesterday but haven't received an acknowledgement email yet. I think my deposit was actually due last week or something =/valley splitter wrote:Yeah, about two weeks ago. From what I understand from earlier posts, if deposit amounts are listed, you're in. If they're blank, not in.thatguy99 wrote:missinglink wrote:Decision rendered on Monday the 22nd, with deposits listed for April 23rd and a later date.santacruz143 wrote:Hmmmm...still no movement on my account. Did anyone catch the latest NYTimes about how California has begun to release "low threat" prisoners in their attempt to deal with their budget crisis (i.e. reduce overcrowding prisons --> reduction in recidivism rate (highest in the country)? --LinkRemoved-- ... wt=nytimes
My desire to go to a CA school continues to dwindle...

Re: In at Santa Clara!!
That's fine. They're just releasing impoverished drug addicts who didn't know their rights well enough to avoid arrest. They won't be hanging around the campus.Snazzygirl wrote:Did anyone catch the latest NYTimes about how California has begun to release "low threat" prisoners in their attempt to deal with their budget crisis (i.e. reduce overcrowding prisons --> reduction in recidivism rate (highest in the country)? --LinkRemoved-- ... wt=nytimes
