Yeah, thats pretty gutsy. I'm not bothering with it until I am listed as Decision.wired wrote:I tried to call in and find out a decision when I was EAC. They didn't bite.hv1 wrote:wait, so with EAC you can still call?

Re: Cornell waiting room
When did everyone have EAC complete as of? Are these all early applicants getting in? Or are there NOvember EAC dates mixed in?

Dear Cornell,
Thank you for letting some of the TLSers in. However, most of the people you are letting in will not attend as they will likely have other options available to them that they are considering with more enthusiasm. Please, let me, someone with numbers in your range, IN, who is only considering YOU as her top choice.
Thank you!
HL

I checked at about 4am this morning and I think it said DR 12/11 and had an admitted students link. Now it does say 12/08. Sorry.
Also, I went complete on 11/11

I am EAC 11/16 and I have a suspicion they are moving chronologically (duh, but some schools actually don't) which is why I don't expect anything for at least another week and you guys are probably in a similar situationsummerschooled wrote:+15ky wrote:Any of you DR 12/11 folks EAC in November?

Yes, there were some with EAC 11/11ish dates. (In the thread about a few pages back)

Does anyone know how many Dean's Scholarships are awarded each year?

Re: Cornell waiting room
Doesn't look like they admitted a single 167 applicant (per the data on LSN). But seeing as that was their median last year, I doubt that they won't at least tap into some qualified applicants in that range with that score. So I'm not giving up yet just because I have a late October date that is still at EAC (though I feel like I should).

What are your stats? Would you mind PMing if you don't want them up? I really need a little encouragement right now.sharthree wrote:I have lower numbers than you, but I'm not on LSN.robotoroboto wrote:yikes. i am currently feeling worse than ever about my chances. not a single 167 acceptance so far (except for the dbag faker on lsn).

Re: Cornell waiting room
I'm EAC as of 10/28. But come to think of it, I submitted a couple of addenda about a week or so later, which were added to my file. Do you think that perhaps this moved my effective complete date back some? (Obviously, I'm not going to call to ask about this as the lady with the sultry voice will probably just hang up!)SanBun wrote: I am EAC 11/16 and I have a suspicion they are moving chronologically, which is why I don't expect anything for at least another week and you guys are probably in a similar situation

Re: Cornell waiting room
LSN is worthless. Just look at the spread of last years Cornell graph. Median 167 means just as many green on either side of the line, but it is heavily weighted to higher. And median GPA 3.6 means as much green above as below, but again there is like a 3 or 4 to one ratio.dakatz wrote:Doesn't look like they admitted a single 167 applicant (per the data on LSN). I bet he means DR 12/8, and that the status actually changed to DR today (12/11). Who knows, but that would be my guess.

Re: Cornell waiting room
My status changed to Decision and the date is 12/08.
I'm very tempted to call them but their website said to wait 10-14 days. Would they be irritated if I call them and ask about my decision over the phone?
